By yacht from Riga to Jurmala. The route takes 4 hours.
This route is designed for a longer trip and is very popular. Usually a two-story yacht is chosen for this. A yacht at a cruising speed of 14 km per hour will take you from Riga to Jurmala (Majori station) in 2 hours. There she will make a stop on the water and drop anchor, and in half an hour she will go back to Riga.
On this route, at the customer’s request, it is also possible to rent a yacht in one direction. You will get to the right place and the boat will return back without you.
Along the way, at the request of the guests, the boat can also accelerate to 45-60 km per hour and go on a glider. With this speed, if necessary, you will arrive at any place much faster.
On the way to Jurmala, in a 2-hour journey you will get acquainted with: the Riga central port, with merchant ships docked, you will see a coal terminal, at the intersection of the Daugava River and the Bullupe River you will pass by the island of “Love”, you will pass under many railway and transport bridges, you will pass twice exit to the Sea (the first time in the Daugava River, the second time in the Lielupe River).
Also along the way you will meet many beautiful pine forests, fields, and huge sandy mountains.
When renting a yacht for 6 hours or more, you will also have time to make a couple of stops to swim in different rivers, go much further to Jurmala, and later change the route and return back to Riga by sea.
6-8 hours is enough to explore the left side of Riga towards Jurmala, walk along all the main bodies of water, change the return route and return from the Gulf of Riga.
You can also go in this direction on a sailing yacht. But to do this you will have to make a circle and change the route. The minimum time for this route is 6 hours. Since the distance is greater and the sailing yacht goes much slower.
